That's a pretty flower. We do not have those in Florida. I agree that the background is busy in this shot, but that does not keep the flower from being a treat to see.

Like others have said, you got the flower perfectly but the background takes a little bit away from it. At f2.8 though, I am not sure you could do much about it other than in PP.

Great colors and patterns in the Dahlia. Would definitely do something with the background, maybe darkening and coloring the black/blue at the top to be green and blend in better.

Nice dof, got the flower in focus and a nice blurry background so it is highlighted in the frame.

Spot on. The flower is perfect. Blur the foreground or crop it out. The Dahlia is the focus.

A beautiful flower. The background is a tad bit distracting... I might have used less DOF. But, you've gotten the light well here, for sure.
