red poppy 01by tnunComment: Thank you commenters and patio###.
pixelpig: good question. I think the noise is a product of bringing up more colour/saturation, decreasing the gamma/lightness, and all the torture I put it through - for sure the USM creates strange artifacts after awhile. As well I am working with a small jpg file(albeit the crop was slight on a 4mp image) although you wouldn't think that would matter at the sizes we post on dpc.
Will try to post original. |

A church with a viewby ELLIPSComment: I happen to like this better than your entry, though no question it would not score so well. Here I am happy to focus on the church and the sea and how the light reveals and unites these 2 such different textures. This intensifies and enriches my experience of light and form. |

IMG_4835.jpgby PhotoDaveComment: Portrait orientation is nice, but your submission has sparkle and better expression and just a nice generous expanse of oak bench that is an ode to railway stations. |

Lawn Mowerby JuliBocComment: Ecologically correct AND bunny ears! (Might consider cropping left side for rule of thirds composition?) |
