Could not decide on which of these to use. I liked them all equally. So, I simply decided to do another triptych and display them all. (The presentation reminded me somewhat of of a Whitman Sampler. . . with flowers instead of chocolates.) It gave me more practice at making them. Have done the hibiscus before. Was trying to get a different side and with the light coming through the petal. In the process, found the buds hiding under all the leaves. Thought it made for an interesting shot. Before I knew it I had a handful of frames of the hibiscus again.
Also, switched lenses to give myself more practice with each. Getting up close and personal with the 50mm 1.4. Like it a lot.
Also, starting to find that ISO of 400 seems to be a better choice in all around shooting. . . especially hand held.

I like 'em all, but the big one is the best. Really really love seeing the buds. Maybe too much cream at the edge, but like the effect of a very very slight fade out/in at the border.

I like the pics very much, but the presentation really spoils this collection for me.

WOW! I see why you had a hard time selecting. All are excellent shots. Really great detail and very appealing compositions. I think I'd have posted them as individual shots because each is absolutely strong enough to stand on its own and not seem repetitive.

I know I have commented before, but just had to add this. The buds in the larger image are totally awesome.
The focus is sharp as a tack, the colors brilliant, and the composition just great.

I feel you should have this one as an extra image, on its own, as well as the triptych. It is a really fantastic flower image, and really pops.....

O dear. Sorry, but I like the variety in borders, it's something I would do myself if I thought I could get away with it. Each one looks to be on a slightly different plane. The hypertexture on all surfaces works well w/the hibiscus. Sweet!

The hidden buds are my fave :-) I'd use the same border/edge treatment on all 3 in a triptych; just one with it makes that view stand out too much, I think.

Very pleasing to the eye, and each photo stands on its own merit, and I like the combination of this triptych.....

My only nit pick is that I think the cream edge around the larger flower image, is a little distracting to the whole composition.
