This one tells a story that is concurrently disturbing and very real. I didn't vote in this challenge, but would have given this top marks. I actually think this may be my favorite of your photos to date - you must have used your new light kit? Anyway, the composition with the ring is brilliant.

It's funny, Bob, but often when I see your photos I think of them as being part of a diptych and/or triptych. This one feels like it belongs with the solitary tree photo. I think the pair would complement each other beautifully. I really like the stark processing. You are definitely one of my favorite photogs on this site.

Julianne, what a bummer you didn't get this in! This is simply a beautiful photo. The lighting is fantastic. The only thing that you might play with is the cropping - feels like it could use some reduction on the left so that incredible single blossom on the top pops in the 2/3 position a little more. Great photo!
