Six Trees

Erik, I like this photo a lot, it's very moody. The colors are just perfect for a winter lndscape. I love how the color of the orange tree is repeated in the foreground rock and grass. There are strong lines that lead the eye through the image.

I am not too hot about the two trees on the right -- they seem a bit heavy, although they do balance the foreground rocks quite nicely. The people are repeated too many times for my liking, they make the photo a bit crowded.

Beautiful photo! I love the waves, especailly the farther one, and the colors. The rock and the silky-smooth water deserve to be more prominent, in my opinion. I would have cropped out most of the sky, leaving the sun.

I'd second the suggestion regarding lightening some of the foreground rocks.

I love this scene! It is pretty much the scene at my home too. :) You've already got plenty of comments about cropping off the bear, I would have probably cropped the curtaina nd the toy on the right as well. I love his concentration on reading the book, as if the rest of the world does not exist.

I like all the diagonals in this photo and the geese are always nice. Although the lower left is not my favorie part of the photo, I do like the texture of the grass. There is something on the right (a pair of geese?) that seems to draw my eye and I cannot stop coming back to figure out what it is. I might have cropped it out as, for me, it is a bit distracting.

I like the abtract feel and the conposition here. I would have likes to see a bit more contrast. The grey border does not work for me -- maybe a very thin black instead?
