day2.jpgby creek41256Comment: Nice job blending these and I like the arrangement. This looks like it could be a graphic in a magazine. |

Day 1: Road Workby cginoComment: This is what I love about these SOL challenges - to see people step out of their comfort zones.
The processing is simply fantastic and brings out so much detail without taking it too far from reality. I didn't realize the deep shadow on the bottom until I saw the original; thanks for posting it. I've used the Lucis/Perfectum combo before, but haven't tried the Imagenonic yet. |

Day 02 Stormy Watersby slaaksoComment: I think you've really captured the emotion well. It's unfortunate these things happen, but realize that it's for the best and it will get better. |

LiveOakTrainStation1Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment: Nice job on the processing to bring out the moodiness of the place. I think the open gate adds to the picture, but it does block the station a bit. This is said of course, without knowing how it looks from a different angle. |

Day-02-IMG_0718.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: I can certain see somebody enjoying going to this type of place, talking with others about a common interest, sharing ideas, etc. Hopefully we'll get to see something on that project before the end of the month! |

Day-2.jpgby twilson944Comment: I agree with the other comments about how this looks like it could be in a movie. The B&W, grain, and framing all add to that effect. |

Day 02 - Dunesby hajekaComment: Before I read your comments I noticed the shadow detail, and that certainly is due to the pseudo HDR effect. The grass in the foreground really makes the shot for me; I get the effect that it's being blown by the wind, which can be seen also in the clouds.
When you get a chance try some bracketed shots and merge to HDR. I've found that different programs give different results for the HDR and the tonemapping. |

main-02-02-08-5425.jpgby fixedintimeComment: I think you've really brought out the texture in the tree and would certainly work well in the texture challenge. I think for a standard B&W it would have worked a bit better without the sharpening halos, but then again that just makes the texture better! |

pensiveby beneeComment: I think Peter nailed my thoughts before I typed them. The effect is there, but it doesn't quite have that natural look, and a more subtle transition may have worked better. However, the B&W is strong and you've made a simple statue interesting to look at. |

5.52 Then and nowby MelethiaComment: These old bugs are simply timeless and the B&W just enhances it. That car going by caught my attention immediately, even if it's not a bug. |
