Delightful, how realistically this catches what one sees. In very few circumstances does the naked eye see bright whites as extra bright, but snow and ice give us one of those circumstances. I like what the ASE gave you here. |

Like LG, I'd like to see more of the ice, but you have conveyed the snow AND ice which is rather difficult. |

I like the DoF and the conversion is nice too. I think the composition is a little stiff, maybe a half step to the right to get things less centered. |

Brrr - ice! It's awful to have it but it sure does look pretty on branches. Love the contrast between the dark wood and the bright ice. |

A good scene for a black and white photo. The contrast is perfect. It conveys such cold and the barrenness of winter. Since we rarely get this look in Texas, I really like it alot :)

I like the ice colors stems. Wish for less contrast and to see the details in the ice.

This is certainly a slice of life and I'm tired of this snow & ice! I think if the background were a bit darker it would bring out the ice a bit more. |

Unusual sights require the camera to be nearby, you remind me. To carry a small selection of lens and a camera is important in order to capture the small yet exotic images of everyday life. |

the technique you used to convert to b/w really seems to have worked extremely well - it reminds me of photos i took using TMax 100 when I was in school - you get a richness of whites and blacks that are hard to emulate in basic desaturation techniques. - i would love to learn more |

Looks just like where I live this time of year. Like the strong lines in the foreground and the softer pattern of the background. |

ooh, very cold, we actually had a thin covering of snow this morning but I never see ice like this! Not sure if it was the conversion but would have liked to have seen the ice a tad sharper and a little more detail in the snow. |

It did a pretty good job with the conversion, I think. And it looks miserably cold! |

I like the composition. The contrast between the ice and limbs is perfect. It sure gives off a chilly feeling. |

Interesting photo. I think I'd like to see this a little darker to pull more detail out of the ice. |

Oh that looks so cold, there are times when looking at the kind of photo that I actually miss winter. Good clean crisp tones. |
