The Timeoutby rlgphotoComment: I really like what you were trying to do here. I think I would have liked to have seen the reason for the ime in the freground instead of the table. JMO |

Eye see you.....by well7430Comment: I like what you were trying to do. Based on the title, I think we can assme tht our focus should be directed to the eye, but the eye is not in focus (but rather the hair is.) JMO |

Mrs Cardinalby bormicComment: A very nice shot of this girl. Nicely composed although the loss of the tail tip is a bit disappointing. IMHO, I think this shot is more about blurred background rather than a creative use of Shallow DOF. JMO |

Trapped in a String of Liesby Sunshine86Comment: Very well done!!! A very good use of shallow DOF (as opposed to blurred background like many of the other shots.) One of the more creative shots I've come across so far. |

Boundby cabaComment: This is a wonderful image and something I would be proud of to have in my portfolio. The colours are great and the composition is beautiful in it's simplicity. This image, IMHO, is more about the background blur than it is about Shallow DOF. JMO. |

Cotton flowers on nylon stringsby merheimComment: This is very well done. Nice texture. I like the obscured view hinting to the fact that there are more flowers to see if we want. Good work. |

Guardian of The Realmby GiorgioComment: A very interesting shot. I like the idea very much and the burnt matchstick is great against the orange. Personally, I find the blurry matchstick almost directly behind the focused one to be a bit distracting. Also, it feels like this might be just a touch to sharpened ... The white outline along the right side of the focused matchstick is a bit strong for my liking. JMO. |

In the momentby eye_clownComment: A very cute photo. Definitely a keeper and one to be shared. For me, this is more of an example of a blurred background than creative use of shallow DOF. JMO. |

From darkness to lightby TOYComment: I really like what you are going for here. To me, it sort of looks like the hand is going through an aura or the like. I really wold have like the foreground to have different lighting. JMO. |
