** Greetings from the Critique Club **

Technically, this shot met the challenge, but minus the title would have been weak. If I were just looking through photos and came across this - not for a challenge or anything - I would wonder why the child was all blurred out. It is obvious the child is the subject, yet you chose to not have your subject in focus.
B&W works well with this image. The chair along the side of the table is a bit blown out on top though and I found it a bit distracting.

technically meets the challenge, but you wasted a great story-telling opportunity. a broken glass, split milk, anything could have made this interesting. even tipping the chair over. you have the equipment to make good photos, but you really need to push yourself a bit harder. it's not just about dpc. without the challenge, without the title, would this image stand on its own? a strong image is going to give the viewer moment to pause.

There is a certain sense of drama established here. Like, why is the child in the corner, do they wish they were in this seat or that they had whatever that is sitting on ght table. Nice composition.

Interesting idea, perhaps a little too dark.

Since the child having a time out seems to be the subject, I think he/she should be what is in focus.

I really like what you were trying to do here. I think I would have liked to have seen the reason for the ime in the freground instead of the table. JMO
