Technically okay, although perhaps a little bright on the face. Decent DOF, but otherwise it feels like a snap to me. Without knowing the child or having some connection to him, it doesn't hold my interest.

What a diligent boy - how neatly symmetrical is his inaccuracy!

I like this children shot, very expressive. Open eyes would have given the extra touch to this portrait...

How cute is that? I adore his expression. Good job.

I'm not sure how I feel about this image. I do feel that it's a good capture of the subject, however, I don't feel that the DOF adds very much to the image - it's merely an accessory.

Most of picture is in focus that is not shallow DOF

A very cute photo. Definitely a keeper and one to be shared. For me, this is more of an example of a blurred background than creative use of shallow DOF. JMO.

This is darling but I think the shirt is really distracting. Maybe if it were in black and white there wouldn't be as much variance and the ey wouldn't feel confused. Cute kid. Love the closed eyes - like he's in ecstacy. Perfect title.
