One of the first ones I looked at. The graphic balance of subtle tones and the isolation of the wire makes this one jump out at you. This would look nice as a large piece of decorative artwork.

It's not apparent that this is a DOF shot. It looks more like the barbed wire is in front of a Mac screensaver.

This is a wonderful image and something I would be proud of to have in my portfolio. The colours are great and the composition is beautiful in it's simplicity. This image, IMHO, is more about the background blur than it is about Shallow DOF. JMO.

Great concept - I especially like the waves of color in the background- I would have rated this higher if you had followed the rule of thirds.
