Meets challenge definition. 0 don't want to sound mean here but if I didn't know what the rules were I would say this image is about the clouds.
Meets definition of minimalism. 10 I believe this image puts in simple visual terms what sea and sky can say to the viewer.
Technical. 4 Not enough clarity on the ocean horizon and lots of artifacts.
Artifact. 8 I love this image and only wish it had the detail mentioned above working for it. I like the mino tone color and admire anybody who can get a striagh horizon line. If I were you I would do a study of clouds.

Meets definition of minimalism. 10 Ordinarlly I would think this is a minimalist photograph, because I believe that would have to require a closer look of the beetle. BUUUUUUT.....The way you have included the beetles envornment in the image I truly believe the image is taking about the beetle.
Technical. 5 I think you need a little more focus on the beetle, but the problem may be some of the artifacts that I see in the image. (I like images that look more like tradional photographs without the digital super focus and hyper activity to the surface so I am not taking about going heavy on the focus just minor adjustment and leaving the depth of field the way it is.)
Artistic. 10 I like the surface tone of the image. I also like that the image that seems to have the artist signature on it. (not literally, but style wise) Art is not about perfect products but rather simple comunication.

Meets difinition of Minimalism. 5 I believe minimalism would require a closer and more simplified search of the meaning of what it would be to be a snail.
Technical. 5 The focus seems to be off
Artistic. 4 Snails are interesting subjects and I think you are on to some serious snail artistic vision here. But, I don't feel that where your subject falls in the frame says much about or makes this image interesting. This image seems to be more a snap shot rather than a piece of work that calls for me to be drawn to it wanting more.
