You might want to add the lens info in this photograph.. you'd be among the highest rated photographs for the EF-S 60mm

Yes, I actually shot the fly in mid-flight.

Congrats if you actually shot this bug in mid-flight. Great shot!

I like the photo, but if I were that particular species of fruit fly I would have chosen a less exfoiliated leaf, reducing the risk of appendage drag when I need to move on to another leaf. In short, a bad place to land but a good photo

Can't have beene asy to capture this. The fly pis lovely, the leaf part is pretty well overpowering the shot though. I wonder if you could have desatted this within basic rules? by dumping some red out? How that woudl have effected the fly? I donno. Nice capture regardless.

Technical. Still trying to figure out how you took this photo. The depth of field I believe is the major problem with this image. 4
Artistic. I love the idea of this image, you have a good idea here. And I hope you tell use how you did this. My guess it is a fly on a piece of glass. 6

Nice capture of the bug. Love the colors in its wings. The specs on the leave are a bit distracting. Gived the feel of scratches or dust particles on a negative.

wow what a shot! the colors are amazing!

Very pretty sheen on the wings, and nice color and texture on the leaf.

Whoa, amazing capture, musta been a random shot, for this kind of desired outcome, or ur really good at this. Everything in this photo works, I can see top 10, the focus is so surprisingly sharp on the bug, and it's colours, with the colours of the leaf as well are so stunningly attractive and beautiful. Overall, a terrific shot, 9, the highest i've rated so far; the first 9 i've given out, and probably th only one. AWESOME!

Wow, I love that fly or whatever it is...fantastic colors. Meets challenge exceedingly well.
