I love this -- you don't see the boots until the last (or at least that's how I took in the shot) at which point the whole thing makes sense.

I wouldn't worry about the context -- it's a quirky candid and is fine the way it is. IMNSHO, you could crop it a little tighter and get rid of the strip of white and the windows at the top. It wouldn't be a square crop, but rules are made to be broken... 8)

Amazing shot -- it looks as if you cut and pasted a door onto a brick wall. Either that, or the door is just suspended in space. The whole thing is nice and weird. Nice choice for b&w.

That yellow-orange cast makes it look like there's a huge fire over to the left. Kind of scary, really. Good night shot, though. I like it very much.

I love this shot -- so different from anything we have in So Cal. The church steeple tops things off beautifully. If the sun comes out for a few minutes and you get a blue sky, can you catch another shot? The church steeple is the perfect topping for this. Nice work.
