Cast from The Gardenby visionistComment: Great PJ piece...love the immediacy as well as the tonal range. Hope you aren't slammed for DNMC. One of my favorites of the bunch. |

Hangin' Out with Coachby franyoung2002Comment: Interesting array of lines and colors. The background reflection is a distraction for me; as is the text on the left side. Perhaps if this were advanced editing there would be ways to obscure some of the distractions and add emphasis to the abstract nature of the image. |

Good Gameby balancedfoxComment: Beautiful image, great clarity, color, concept...but the DNMC votes will probably keep this image out of the running. Good luck in the challenge. |

4:45amby CrooxComment: Reminds me of my sons' rooms. I've seen this same thing before...deja vu all over again. ;)
Composition of the image is very cluttered (no pun intended); there is really nowhere for the eye to rest (a main focal point). Giving voters too much to look at in the few seconds voters give images is a sure way to get mediocre scores. I think that if this had been taken at an angle other than from standing position (eye level) it might have more of a dynamic appeal. |

After the checkmate...by tlenatComment: Image has some hotspots that distract the eyes. Concept is good, but I think execution could be a bit better. Composition seems disjointed and lighting is spotty; maybe a different angle of the board might help, or use more available light or a diffused flash. Chess boards and pieces are difficult to shoot and make them look dynamic. I appreciate the effort. |

CheckMateby RefreshComment: Image seems noisy and lacking in contrast. Concept is good, but I think execution could be a bit better. Composition seems busy and crowded; maybe a lower angle or different slant of the board might help. Chess boards and pieces are difficult to shoot and make them look dynamic. I appreciate the effort. |

Der Anti-Sporterby renefunkComment: Very cute. Love the distortion and the overall geekiness of the shot. I bet you'll be slammed for DNMC, but clever nonetheless. Great clarity and color. Very fitting for the upcoming Halloween holiday as well. ;) |

Scare Crowby fotomann_foreverComment: This would be an awesome entry for bokeh, but I'm failing to connect it for "After the Game." Nice composition and colors. |

Innocent eyesby chandramComment: This is a great image; very emotive and expressive, and I love the contrast and the b/w conversion. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how it meets the challenge description. |
