This deserved a 3 because taking this required 0 effort but theres nothing else seriously wrong with it, but no a whole lot of right either.

DNMC - not a sports venue. not all that great a pic either, but at least I 'get' this one!

Reminds me of my sons' rooms. I've seen this same thing before...deja vu all over again. ;)

Composition of the image is very cluttered (no pun intended); there is really nowhere for the eye to rest (a main focal point). Giving voters too much to look at in the few seconds voters give images is a sure way to get mediocre scores. I think that if this had been taken at an angle other than from standing position (eye level) it might have more of a dynamic appeal.

Doesn't meet challenge.

Serious 360 in this house and we are waiting on the WII. I get this but not sure all voters will. We are playing the new Splinter Cell double agent. Best of luck in the challenge.

There's too much going on here. The picture is very busy & although I "get" that you want some stuff in there, there are a lot of distracting elements and lack of focal point.

I'm not trying to be rude here, but this just looks like a snapshot, not a photo contest entry.

while technically you met the challenge - this is a photography contest. Taking a quick snapshot of your messy room makes it hard for me to give you a very good score. 1

hehe, funny. I guess if you REALLY want to stretch the challenge it could be a "sporting venue" depending on how you define sport....but idono.
10/25/2006 05:59:25 PM
I hand't thought of a games console as being a "sporting venue" but you are right - a good interpretation. As for the shot though, it's just a snapshot of your bedroom isn't it? 5

a little busy...and this is not at a game anyway DNMC
10/25/2006 04:35:46 PM
Well. This fits the challenge if you can consider your living room as a "sporting venue".
10/25/2006 01:11:14 PM
No wonder the waistline of many is expanding when we consider video games to be a sport. Cute, but sorry, not really buying into this meeting the spirit/theme of the challenge.
10/25/2006 09:57:44 AM
I didn't realize video games were considered a sport, but I guess it could work.

Details: Your challenge this week is deceptively simple: photograph a sporting venue after the game is over and the players and people have gone home :-)
10/25/2006 08:41:20 AM
We were supposed to photograph "people after the game". The composition is not very good either. Sorry.
10/25/2006 05:56:30 AM
No stadium, field, event center, arena, etc.? Doesn't meet challenge?
10/25/2006 04:26:10 AM
wow... some game!
10/25/2006 03:38:40 AM
surely, it's after the game! after "HALO 2" or any other game... or maybe you were watching a TV-translation of a match.
but, hey, I think it's merely a camera testing snapshot!
10/25/2006 01:39:31 AM
DNMC, not a "sporting venue"
10/25/2006 01:19:03 AM
This photo looks like a snapshot. You could have tried to compose it better, because you have a good concept.
