I like this shoot a lot. Yet the challenge rule is: “…after the game is over and the players and people have gone home”.

By far the best in show content is more than just an empty field. Not many others even had a person in them. Quality of the photo is good too.
Post challenge comment. Guess I didn't read the rules right either... I liked it anyhow.

Great photo!! Nice colors.

The players haven't yet gone home. Nice vibrant blue uniforms and candid capture. Shallower DOF would help to isolated foreground subjects and blur out background people more.

DNMC - the challenge topic says 'after the people have gone home', which implies no people are to be in the image.

Beautiful image, great clarity, color, concept...but the DNMC votes will probably keep this image out of the running. Good luck in the challenge.

I think people are supposed to not be present in the shot for this challenge.

Good pic. Nice crop, colors are good, depth looks good. Just like I imagined After the Game. Would have been nice if everyone was walking in the same direction and the bystanders were gone. I do youth games and bystanders are always in the way...

Love this image. The camaraderie is outstanding. But, and Im' not usually a DNMC type, I guess the people should have already gone home before your photography took place. Nevertheless, it's so good, I"m still scoring it a 6.

Not a bad shot, even though having the players in it means it doesn't meet the challenge. There is a real sense of place/time in this for me, and the candidness of the subjects fits nicely. The people in the background don't quite fit in the composition for me. I would have been tempted to move the camera to the left to see if I could clean up the background. In PP, I think I would have gone for a bit more contrast (cloudy sky that day?)

Finally a photo of something other than empty bleachers and stadium seats. Way to use your creativity.

I'm sure you got a ton of the DNMC, but the image isn't striking to me anyway. The one player looking at the camera ruins what could be a great candid shot

Ummm...those are players aren't they? Where's the empty field/stadium/sporting venue, etc...?

That's a nice snapshot, good focus and sharp blue colours, but shouldn't the players be gone for the challenge?

"Your challenge this week is deceptively simple: photograph a sporting venue after the game is over and the players and people have gone home :-)"

I suspect you neglected to read the challenge description.
