Radial by jomariComment: Gorgeous, Marion. These types of shots are so difficult to make look interesting. So far, you and Anita have shown me how it needs to be done. The square crop and fill-the-frame composition were inspired choices. |

Portrait Of A Cardinal by RefocusedComment: Congrats, Larry. This was an easy 10 from me. :-) And now I know what kind of lens to rent if I ever decide to get serious about my recent bird hobby. |

Instagram generationby LevTComment: Yes. This feels exactly like a "Parr moment" in progress. The intersecting stories, the sense of bizarre ordinariness of what's happening in the frame, the seemingly obliviousness of the subjects to the camera--it's all here. Even the slight tilt, making it feel more candid than composed. I'm no Parr connoisseur, but from what I've seen of his work, this seems to "get" his aesthetic quite well and is one of my top picks this challenge. |

Cultural Enrichment by markwileyComment: Definitely looks like the sort of juxtaposition and documentary vibe that might have caught Parr's eye. Good one. |

Day's Endby jomariComment: I love the colors and painterly vibe. This would make a lovely piece of wall art for a pop of color against a dark wall. |

Pomander in progressby glad2badadComment: This was my favorite in the challenge. I remember helping my grandmother make these every holiday season. The processing choices here were intriguingly unconventional for an image of this sort, too. I like it a lot. |

Heirloomby NeatComment: I wouldn't have thought to shoot in this aspect ratio for this. I think it works nicely to create flow and rhythm within those patches. Quiltwork (or patchwork, I guess?) is a big part of the immigrant heritage here in central Texas; you can see little squares painted on signs all across the countryside indicating families' identification with Czech-Germanic-Wendish heritage. So this one brought a smile for me. |
