 for some strange reason i thought of the movie arachophobia for this challenge .. !! .. ;)

but it would be a tall order finding a live spider that photographed well ..

miracle .. my grandson Jack was visiting ... so using him in the poster might work ..

but i still needed a spider ..

then another miracle .. we were in my computer room and there on the wall high up was a huntsman spider .. couldnt have asked for a better background .. so i got on a chair and took his photo ..

the spider's web was a added bonus .. :)

after voting ..
feel quite honoured to share the podium with Jonathan and Elena .. their posters were my two favs in the challenge ..
i also beat a few that i felt were much better than mine ..
i'm going to say it's because most ppl just dont like spiders .. lol .. ;)

You really captured the b-movie horror vibe with this composition, Roz. I never would have guessed that was your grandson's face! But you definitely got that Hitchcockian VERTIGO expression exactly right. And all your processing and compositing choices are just really nicely handled.

Oh man, this is so incredibly good, I didn’t get round to voting on all the photos. There were so many good ones, and I just did not see this one at all, but Roz what an amazing job you did.

I'm too scared of spiders. Never watched this movie, but I do know spiders have 8 legs and they can run really fast.
