Supermarket-Carpark.jpgby jomariComment: Light playing with the closer water droplets creates quite a sparkling splash around the car, reminiding me of compositions combining crinkled aluminum foil with paper and paints. Very artistic take on the fleeting variations of an ostensibly ordinary setting. |

04 between the cones and against the wallby ordinaryangelComment: Strikingly different and definitely emotive. The cones and texture set an unexpected context for the centered figure, with the pose and dark tones leading the imagination toward the darker sides of existence. |

Hangin' by a Threadby GeorgeComment: Actually, I like the flash effect. Makes it a bit more like a science fiction movie still. Sharpness great. It isn't easy to make them pose parallel to the lens surface. |

Prickly Pearby BalkoComment: The red of the prickly pears works well with the depth of blue in the sky. It is nice to see intact fruit. On hikes, the deer or other critters seem to take bites before the fruit can get so big. |

Rebaby cynthiannComment: The ripples across bird shadow add a near-abstract quality to that part of the image. Nicely done. |

Virgoby RetroesqueComment: As insightful as a self portrait. Images chosen from all possible alternatives in a "where I live" theme reveal as much about the photographer as about the place. Nice to have the almost perfect repeating patterns of the middle two rows broken up slightly by the irregularities of the top and bottom rows. And especially nice to see lots of books. I've run across far too many homes with children but nearly no books (sad beyond belief). |

View from my home studioby LutchenkoComment: Gives the imnpression of a quiet setting that should be helpful for a studio. Guessing from the shadows going away from you at mid-day that the window probably faces north and receives the classic indirect light from the north. Must be a treat to take advantage of that. |

In Philly's Shadowby scooter97Comment: The thumbnail really picks up on the texture of the yellow-green and draws attention to the impressionist aspects of this compositions. Nice to capture the people in such symmetrical poses within the boat. Repeating actual and implied horizontal lines give a nice rhythm. |
