I know that this might seem restrictive in terms of the "where I live" challenge, so I guess I'll explain a bit..... Japan is a country where concrete walls are everywhere, they line many suburban streets so that you feel you are walking a massive labrynth, they surround most schools, and though they are not always high they certainly have become a predominant feature of the landscape. So today I walked the streets behind my own house and found these traffic cones, and the texture of the wall sealed the deal.

A very evocative image. It would go well in the fade to black sc too.

Well found and framed just right. Each element is essential, and no elements are unnecessary for the shot. Minimum elements, maximum impact. It don't get much better. This would be great for the "Serious Street Photog" S C that's going on now.

Good idea, well-executed. Very moody.

Strikingly different and definitely emotive. The cones and texture set an unexpected context for the centered figure, with the pose and dark tones leading the imagination toward the darker sides of existence.
