Granite Totemsby rcrawfordComment: Nice scenic, perfect exposure. Post card of the hoodoos. I like the tuft of grass coming from the top of the tall one. Maybe a title "Mother and daughter?" |

The Guitaristby timj351Comment: Emotive - what a photo should do, create a feeling in the viewer. I really love the added noise, but do not like the blown out highlights. Excellent model. |

The Beaconby alanfreedComment: A very nice scenic. I'm sure the exposure is right on, but I wonder what it would do with it deliberately darkened and perhaps a warming filter added? It's still an excellent entry and obviously fitting for a master's camera. |

Haystacks - A Tribute to the Impressionist Masterby ColeyComment: Great lighting at the perfect time of day. The study of texture is fantastic. I relly like the long shadows as well - they add a nice sence of time and a strong compositional element. I have two suggestions for imporovement: a) The top of the closest bale merges with the one directly behind. It would be best to have a bit of separation between them. (Get higher or a step closer to the front one.) b) The title is doesn't show much imagination - I'm sure you could make it relate to how you feel about the scene much better. |

The Walkby L1Comment: Ah - a real "country feel" - a dad taking two of his youngins on a walk. You image invokes a true emotion - exactly what it's supposed to do. I do believe it would be stronger without the telephone pole in the upper right. Great timing on the footsteps - and excellent black and white technique as well. |

The Bearded Ladyby ellamayComment: A very nice macro - well exposed and perfectly composed. DoF is ok - not much you can do with shots like this. The green seems a bit off-color to me. |

Haunting Absenceby tyt2000Comment: I realkly want to like this image - it has some neat features. But - I just don't quite connect for some reason. The empty chair is significant yet seems to be such a small part of the scene. With the strong back light - I'm not sure the lit bulbs do much except draw the eye away from the other nice areas. Finally - a very small point, but the border is overdone for my tastes. Perhaps the reason I don't connect is that it doesn't seem right to scale - if the chair is normal size - the ceiling must be 20 feet. |

Split Bout....the inner struggleby graphicfunkComment: A very interesting take on the challenge - hope you post some how-to notes. This would really work well as a commercial for gym clothes or shoes, or similar. The model is a bit ironic - adding a bit of humor, doesn't look like he works out all that much. Both lighting and exposure very well done. |

Mercyby hopperComment: The model is superb - eyes are dynamite, expression perfect. I assume you used some fill flash, looking at the catchlights in her eyes - well done. The bad news is that the background on the right has way to many overblown highlights. |
