I've been taking photos from the ripe age of 14 when my father bought my first camera. I took photos all through my high school years and even into some college years but then, for some reason, I put my camera down and didn't pick it up for many years. Not sure why. But I think I lost the inspiration I once had to capture great photos. Maybe it was frustration. Maybe it was boredom.. who knows. But after many years, my father in law decided it was time for me to pick the camera back up again and start shooting. He bought me a Nikon D50 and told me about this site. From then, I randomly jump in for a few weeks and throw down with some great photographers on this site. And then I'll take a break. That's the great part about this site- enter when a challenge really inspires you to do so- and don't when it doesn't.
also, I wanted to thank all of you that leave comments as well. I have learned more from your comments and votes and anything of my college classes. It made me look deeper into my photos then I ever have and I feel with every click of the shutter, my photos have gotten better. So thank you to everyone here.
DPChallenge Goals:
-Submit at least into a total of 50 Challenges.
-Get a new 'Top Finish Photo' (2010)
-Score no lower than a 6.0 on three consecutive photos (2010)
Steal a Yellow
Nab FIGHT for a Red
Kill for a Blue
Meet a new DPC'er in person
Score no lower than 6.0 on 4 consecutive photos
Score a photo above 7.0
-Score an OOBIE AGAIN!
Accomplishments for 2008:
-Finish in the top 80% (@ least once)*
-Finish in the top 90% (@ least once)*
-Finish in the top 95% (@ least once)*
-Submit in 10 Consecutive Challenges(without it being DPL)
as well as:
-make useful comments on at least 500 photos this year(Maybe even score up a Yappie!!)
