 So my choices were this one and



I the other was out of balance because of the bird looking out of the frame and the extra space below.

I felt this one was out of balance because of all the negative space to the left. I thought this one was more out of balance, my son thought the other was more out of balance. In other words, both would probably do poorly. My daughter think it looks too freaky and doesn't like it. :)

We'll see what happens.

6.8?! How awesomely cool! 75 votes -- I guess there's still time for it to drop, but I hope not. :D

I wasn't going to enter this challenge, because we were leaving for England the next day. But it snowed. We don't get snow often in Virginia, and I love taking pictures of birds in the snow. :)

But since I didn't have time to really take a shot, I just shot through the back door glass (dog nose prints and all) luckily, the dog nose prints didn't show. :D

My kids thought the bird was too freaky looking and thought I should enter the other one. The cardinal was just puffing up for a moment and then she went back to her normal look. I thought it was fun catching her with her "morning hair."

We're in a B&B in Stratford-Upon-Avon at the moment. We'll be home with this challenge finishes. I thought there were some excellent shots in this challenge! (drat. :)

Unbalanced but I am not sure it is effective ie. that the left counter-balances the bird, very nice photo though, 6
On the third pass - it is balanced! I just realized the snow is more prominent on the left and white is very noticeable. Up to 7
