 Processed from RAW in ACR, very low clarity setting and underexposed. No vignetting was applied. Topaz Detail was used to eliminate further detail, to simplify the image.

Curve settings in ACR were: +100, +52, -58, +4

It's these settings that produced the extreme corner/edge darkening, in conjunction with the fact that the only light is reflected light straight in front, so there's much less light reflected as we go off-axis. I'm worried, obviously, that this is going to be called vignetting; but I have double-checked my work and no vignetting, or other selection, was used.

I love the geometry in this. It definitely stands out from the million other fork images on this site. The light give this an almost religious feel, and I mean that in a positive way. Eating *could* be a religious experience when the food is prepared properly! One nit-pick: I wish the horizontal had been straightened.
