Beautiful feeling to this. Makes me remember those special days when we didn't want to acknowledge that it was time to go.

Very poetic. I love the colours in the overlay, really enhances the image. Lisa, again, thanks for starting this SC. It's a pleasure to wander through.

Very beautiful and evocative. Love the dreaminess of it.The color and slight fuziness evoke a sense of sadness and longing...maybe for happier carefree times of the actual image.

Joyful image. I like how the angle of the clouds and horizon taper off on the right. Gives it a dynamic quality.

this whole concept is very new to me...I really like how you get such a dreamy effect with your overlay...very good

An overlay adds so much emotion. Maybe because it reduces detail. We get the big picture, to which we can add detail on our own, from our own memories, as we like until it is just right. This is very satisfying to look at.

this lovely image makes me think of a dream .. a dream when i was young and carefree and didnt know wot life was going to hand me ..
i love the body language of the children .. the one of the left looks suspiciously like your boy ? .. the hair and stuff .. lol ...
this is going to be a wonderful side lisa .. you are the best for starting it ..

Nice capture, the effect of the overlay gives it a nostalgic feeling.

Love the fact the children are blurred and the whole image has a feel of looking through something gritty and sandy :)

I think I'm the child in the lead, I'm slightly older than the other. It's a real me/ dream me/ way in the past me. My ocean is the Atlantic, my beach is Nauset. But I'll bet that those children are everyone of us, each with our own ocean and beach. Such universal appeal to this image, speaks to everyones lost heart.

Makes me remember running on the beach as a kid...I love the tones and murkiness, and how the kids are both framed by the waves. Fantastic!

This almost has an old 1960s feel to it, like looking back through an old album. Nicely done

Hey, Lisa, this is great! I think the overlay enhances the use of your blur. It takes it to the level of an art piece and gives it an edginess that makes it easy to envision it hanging on a wall. I love it that its not so over-the-top. It almost looks natural, like they are running on a dark winter day. Which is very cool looking.

I'm going to learn so much from you guys!

running away
running towards
laughing, smiling
without words

the children of summer
their dances, their faces
takes me back
to far away places

Oh Lisa. What a fabulous beginning.
