Congratulations, Lady! The other comments, your placement, and score have already identified you skills and this photos as par excellence! :)

The Best I can hope to do is give a hearty AMEN! I pray that one day my skills will excel as yours have...

The only thought that I would like to add is a compliment to your subjects. They truly are so identical that I would be willing to guess that they can finish each other's sentences. They probably could substitute on dates for each other due to last minute scheduling issues (without a boyfriend catching on too quickly.)

Finally, I think sometimes it's fun to take a "wild guess" about something based on scientific probability just to see how close you come.

Therefore, based on what I know of muscles and the way they are used and defined through repetition, I would guess that the girl on the left is on-average more serious than the girl on the right because her slight smile looks more deliberate and less defined. The girl on the right has extra dimples with the one on the corner of the mouth being more defined,...all of which indicates an easier and more natural smile made effortlessly.

Maybe this knowledge is worth something to somebody, but it is just another indication of how I look at life...in the macro.

Thank You for enduring my impromptu critique...Bottom Line: This is a Great Portrait and the Black & White really sells it! :)

I'm just glad a shot like this got front page recognition, even if it had to be beat by a pair of glasses with amber liquid in them. A timeless and beautiful portraiture.

IMHO, this is by far and away the best image in the competition. I have nothing to add that hasn't been said, except it is preposterous that anyone could fairly grade this as a 1, 2, or 3. Rather than blame the alleged "trolls," I suspect it is more likely done by those with a vested interest in lowering your score. But having said that, I would also say who cares?! You have the satisfaction of knowing you have mad skills, and have produced a memorable portrait.

Thanks Sandy...yes, they were both sunburned. And I can only continue to dream of a ribbon in a freestudy. (This was for the member challenge.) :O)
