This is such a great memorial to shoot. Looks like you got some GREAT sky to compliment this unusual perspective. Well done.

This is such a cool and unique variation on a subject that has been shot time and time again. What a way to make this your own. The crop here is something I would've never even considered... very inspiring photograph.

What a great silhouette! You have blue colored clouds in the background, which is really cool. But I think this pic would work equally well as a black and white. Try it and see. Good luck.

Good idea, but a tad underexposed. Negative space usage is pretty good, as the cloudy day implies the struggle of the Iwo Jima battle.6

Incredible image...the clouds/smoke/silohuette really enhance the mood. Nice composition and use of negative space. 9 Lisa

the only thing that bothers me about this is the tight crop, other than that it is great.

Wonderful sky! Not sure about the crop and there's an odd green/magenta fring on the flag. Not really sure how that could have happened. 7 - floyd

The stormy, foreboding-ness of the clouds adds a neat feel to the picture and it also makes the silhouette effect work for me. I like how the only colour on the statue is the bit of red in the flag.

beautiful image... I think that negative space 'subjects' are the best choices for this challgenge... the clouds in the background really add to the sense of 'struggle' you have presened in this photo... great work :) = 9 - jmsetzler

I have to wonder why there are green and red tracings around the silhouette. Looks odd. The silhouette it's self is nice. The lighting is good for this photo. The angle and framing are ok. You have cut off the flag, and part of the guy on the left. Was there a reason for that? ie: background distractions, or cropping issues? Overall this is a nice photo. good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~
