Biography: Got started with photography back in the 80's and I have been dabbling in it every since. Especially now that digital has come along and made it so accessible. It still amazes me what a difference the technology makes when it comes to getting prints. It used to be such a pain!

I'm very much a digital convert and would never consider using film again, but I still try to keep connected to the older ways of doing things by collecting and using M42 (aka. Pentax screw mounts) and older Nikon MF lenses, even though I use Sigma and Canon cameras. (Adapters are wonderful little gadgets.)

Newer AF primes "can" work a lot better, of course, especially at the super-wide and telephoto lengths where better materials and computer aided designs have made the biggest differences in performance. But, overall, the image quality you get with older lenses is much the same as with their newer counterparts.

Here is my current lens set. I'm listing it here because hardly any of them are included in the DPC lens list. If you have questions about a specific lens, please feel free to PM me about it.

    AF lenses
Sigma 24mm f2.8 Superwide II for Sigma SA (I held onto this gem of a lens in case they released a new Sigma DSLR, and now the Sigma SD14 has been shipped. Maybe I'll get one when the price bottoms out. )
Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX for Canon
Sigma 18-50mm f/3.5-5.6 DC for Canon
Sigma 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6 DC for Canon
