Looks delish. I love how you can still see the milk on the cookie. Great job of taking a photo through glass. That can often be tricky, but looks like you've mastered it. No reflection, no glare! The clarity and angle are perfect. This photo screams childhood. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

this is just so cool in its simplicity. the lighting gives it an almost surreal look. unfortunately i have to mark off 5 points because you used a cracked cookie. hehe, just kidding! i love it. 9--amitchell

What a classic childhood memory. Great photo. 7.

Nice job! I like the composition, well focused too. I would have preferred a contrasting background but I still like it. Grayce aka Gracious

Great close up. Nice detail.

I like the dipping view, very nice (even though I don't dip) I like the milk on the cookie and having it touch the milk is a nice touch. Nice lighting, interesting framing, great color, plain background works for me with this shot. 9 Swash

I like the detail on the biscuit (if you're American, let's say cookie) but find that the detail of the milk and glass is lost against the white background. Perhaps this is intentional?

looks very tasty. nice composition too, but i dont like the milk blending in with the background to the left of the cookie. if there was just a bit more definition there I think it would not be so jarring visually for me. (6) ~mcmurma

oh I love Maria Galletas! I've never eaten them with milk though. That's kinda weird.

Love the idea. Nice macro shot, but why no depth?? This straight-on shot is too 2D...try angling the cookie so it shows more depth.

Nice close up!

I really like this, its a good closeup of the cookie, I might've shot it with a bit darker background though. I also read once that in commercial pictures, of something like this, they actually use Elmers glue instead of milk, it looks like milk in the picture, doesn't look watery, and now get this, they say it looks more appietizing....lol I do like it though, good job. Very good picture. I really like this one!

I love the crack in the cookie.
08/26/2002 05:59:00 PM
i would rather see this photo with a black background and no crack in the cookie---but otherwise its a good photo

Really in style with this weeks challenge. Who didn't grew up with milk and cookies. Nice sharp picture of the cookie!
08/26/2002 05:08:00 PM
WOuld have been a 10 if it had been an Oreo! No, this is a 10!

Wow this is the second milk and cookie shot in a row. Yours is better. I really like macro shots. Good job. (8)

great shot! but it should have been an oreo cookie.
08/26/2002 01:54:00 PM
Goobie Joobies. Great shot.
08/26/2002 01:45:00 PM
Great closeup. Having a tiny bite out of the cookie may have been even more evocative.

Good shot, however that activity is not unique to childhood. I see elderly people using the same technic.

Good DOF and lighting. Definitely meets the challenge. lhall

Superb - I really like the way you have captured the challenge; the shot is both childish and mouth watering, the composition is first class and photography is unfaultable - I think this is an easy 10.... Bet you got to consume the props after as well :)
08/26/2002 07:10:00 AM
Mmmm!
08/26/2002 04:41:00 AM
clean, but everyone's allowed to enjoy milk and cookies, right? 8
08/26/2002 02:47:00 AM
Nice, but I think white was a poor choice for a background, seeing as the milk blends in with it... 5 -lennier
08/26/2002 01:04:00 AM
wow! great idea. I love the textures. very rich.
08/26/2002 12:38:00 AM
Pretty good but a different background may have worked better. For some reason, the crack in the cookie really bothers me!
