I went through a few ideas on this challenge...
Build a pencil house, pencil camera, pencil football field, pencil hedgehog. When it came down to making this one...I figured it would be easier, quicker and less confusing if I made a person. So, HoneyDewaa was born. Put some holes for pencils in a honeydew with a plastic chopstick. Stuck some pencils. Mom provided the brooch and earrings and assisted in drawing the face. I doubt I will score in the upper half even but I think it's got some merit for being funny.

This is a very creative use of pencils for this challenge :) The lighting is also right on target here... I thought that I didn't like the pencils being cropped at the top, but that seems quite irrelevant after I look at the image a little closer... good shot! - jmsetzler

That's about the most original shot around. What did you use for the ears? Cheerios?

This has got to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen. LOL. What is DPC doing to us? The lighting is great. There is definately originality and creativity. The only thing that I would have to comment on is the slight left tilt. I understand that it was probably difficult to get it to stand up in the first place, so I won't count it against you, just an observation. Good luck in the challenge.

Just when I thought that I'd seen it all, up pops this one! Thanks for the laugh. There seems to be no end to the creativity on this challenge and this arrangement is very high on my creativity list. BTW, good job on the photo too; it has very good exposure, decent composition (though the cropping is a bit tight), and makes a really nice... ahem, portrait.

He hee, that is ONE ugly melon head. "Hey man, you're twisting my melon, man" (can you place that quote?) Good colours and rich background.

Did your mother never said "don´t play with your food" ? I think you did a little bit to much of that in this shot. If you take just the top of the picture and use it like that(where all the pencils is standing out from the head) Just try to crop it from the top of the eyes and up and then look at it I think that would be better.
