 The title I chose for this image correlates to lyrics to a song that was stuck in my head while I was shooting this. I am a big Led Zeppelin Fan. Anyway this is about 5 minutes from my house on Cedar Creek which is in the Lewis River watershed. It was about 10:00 in the morning and the clouds had just started to lift. The Sun started to beam right down onto the creek bed. I was finally in the right place at the right time. I hope you all enjoy this image as much as I do.

I want to thank everyone for the ribbon. I cannot believe I got one on my first challenge submission. There were so many strong contenders. I would have been very happy to make top ten. So again thank you all for the support. I am now officially addicted to this site.

Now for a little technical info: Post on this was not much. I applied a contrast mask to help bring out the shadows, then I applied a levels adjustment layer to set the white and black points, then a hue and saturation adjustment layer to add a little more punch to the leaves, and then finally I added a curves adjustment layer to remove a slight color cast.

Here is the unedited image. This is the RAW file saved as a jpg and cropped to 640 pxls tall.

Great motion blur on the water. Good color and sharpness. Maybe just a little over-exposed near the top, but not much. -9-

This is stunning! The leaves in the foreground give this an almost magical quality, especially when combined with the blurred water. A 10 and a fav!

I like this shot a lot. Wonderful color contrasts on the yellows and greens, nice lighting in the background. I think I would have preferred a faster shutter as I'm not a huge fan of the long shutters on water giving the foamy look. 9.
