Her name is Pia, my age, and she is a Vollyball player in Germany.

Nasti let me borrow her 5D. A gold reflector is held up in some wheat.

Such a ridiculously small amount of editing for me... I would love a 5D. :-D

This is so plain and simple.
Yes, it is a far cry from your norm, but frankly you chose the best editing on this by keeping it subtle and gentle.
The lighting here is awesome.

This came out really well, and fits the challenge perfectly. The title is a bit weak, though.

Thank you for the privilege of voting on the work of a master photographer! This is a great photo! I have always been drawn to backlighting, which is certainly easier to capture in nature than it is to create with human models since we are so opaque. You have done both very well. Your model has great hair for this purpose. The wheat is made for this kind of lighting. To top it all off you have lit her right side with great fill flash (or maybe gold reflective board.) Nice job!

Stunning photograph - this is the type of work I search for when in need of inspiration!!! Absolutely beautiful job... terrific focus / depth of field, amazing colors, wonderful model, and if this doesnt ribbon I may have to just give up on DPC!!! A definite 10 in every way. :)

Lighting and focus are just wonderful. Crop is a bit tight but this is a grand entry! Congrats.

What a great shame the top of the model's head is cropped - this would have been outstanding if it was all in the frame. Beautiful lighting here.

I simply love this shot. The subject is slightly off center which gives way to the beautiful color in the field. The backlighting looks good and the use of a reflector is well placed. Very nice image.

i have given this a nine - there is very much to like about this picture in terms of overall niceness; the warm lighting, the perfect complimentary environment, her lovely shampoo-commercial hair and even the slightly rustic (in a good way) attire all makes this very nice and warm and lovely. composition and crop works well too. it slightly lacks that wow-sparkle to give it the 10, but it's bloody close.
