I captured a bee, refrigerated it long enough to make it "sleepy". Then I placed it on my arm as it started to wake up. The bee flew away a few minutes later.

decent macro on the bee -- if a little dark. Not so interested in the composition though -- or on the skin and hairs -- good idea for fear though. That little bit (of grass?) up in the upper left corner is distracting.

I just hate explanations in parenthesis. Just a title please. It's a scary bee,yes but the photo needs some impact like dramatic lighting or contrast. Something. I'm not sure what.

Umm no way.. that thing is on you. Definitely a fear factor for me. Good shot though. Great color and clarity.

Great shot, I'd like to see more DOF or better composure... the shot is great as is the detail.

You have a nice macro of this honey bee, and she/he is on skin too. It doesn't look very threatening though, but a very good shot. A 7 by Autool

Where did the bee land? Kind of cool but weird.

Focus seems to be on the foreground instead of the bee. Of course that's easy for me to SAY, since I'm not trying to focus a macro shot of a bee on my arm. Bravely done (assuming this is your arm)

Good depth of field. Would be more fearful if you could show stinger

Good pic, would have been endlessly QL if she was stinging =)

You need some light on the front of that bee.
07/09/2002 12:47:00 AM
Nicely done. One of the few macro photos in this challenge that have enough DOF to show the subject well.

nice macro

Crazy comes to mind ! I see the fear in this but it's not a artistic type of photo.

What some will do for a challenge!

Needs more light to highlight the bee. Can you shoot this with the stinger going in?? Overall pretty good.
07/08/2002 02:52:00 PM
That's brave.
07/08/2002 01:14:00 PM
<shudder> WHO did you get to pose for this one??? Good pic, I just can't look at it ;-)
07/08/2002 01:06:00 PM
maybe is this were a little closer to the bee and showing it's head more?
07/08/2002 11:13:00 AM
nice : )
