Challenge: Cheater! (Advanced Editing IV)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Location: Seoul, Korea
Date: Nov 18, 2005
Aperture: f2.8
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/500
Galleries: Emotive, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Nov 20, 2005

Opened in raw, adjusted light. In PSCS2: sharpened, adjusted Shadows/highlights, tweaked curves. Transferred to picasa to make it sepia then back to PSCS2 to crop, resize and save for web. NB! Cloned some area above middle boy's head, burnout ares on the two hands, the cheater boy's sleeve and some small distraction of light between the middle boy's feet. Cloned areas are very small distractions because of early morning light through the branches.

I just love this pic, one of the few that I set up and liked. I will be happy if people will enjoy the idea.

This is maybe the most natural, and wonderful shot of this scene I've ever found.

Simply love it.

I didn't notice that the girl and the boy on the end where secretly holding hands at first and then I realized the whole idea after I read the photographer's comments. That's cute and funny.

Congrats! I hoped this would ribbon when I saw it. I find it very interesting that this was done with kids. It gives it a whole other level of interest that I don't think would have worked with adults about coming of age and loss of innocence and all that...

Peter, Peter! How truly glad I am upon your award of the RED with this theme. Funny, right before the challenge ended, I told a friend that your image will tower over mine because of the innocense factor. Well friend, my warmest congatulations on this lovely image which speaks of its own triumph. Its human overtones will forever ring in the minds of the members.

8 - Good idea and meet of the Challenge with a unique 'non adulterous' factor. Criticism; toning works but I wonder if b/w would have worked better, just seems a bit of a 'tinge' to this. Maybe even a small frame may have made this even better in my opinion, not sure.

lovely. is it a memory? the colour is perfect for that. i might have framed it a touch higher just to get in all the toes.

That's just brilliant. Great composition, though I do have to question the addition of what seems to be a bright sepia, think it would even more strongly as B&W. Regardless, this is one of the best I've seen in this challenge. LOVE the tight crop.
