A bit too dark.

bit too dark - she seems like a good subject - good expression. Could have been better vertical ?

it's a little dark, but still not bad

I like the pose, and even though things seem a little soft, I like that too. However, I'm pretty sure that monitor calibration differences or not, the skin tones in this picture need to be brighter. As for composition, I either would suggest moving her a little bit further to the right, or maybe turning this into a vertical shot.

Dark and out of focus, but I like the girls expression.

Too dark!

Appears too dark on my screen. Focus isn't soft, but somehow doesn't seem sharp either, probably due to the darkness of the shot. Were you in a brown out situation? Photo 6 Creativity 6 B&W 6 total 6

needs more light and contrast.

"WHERE is that stupid light switch?"

Seriously, I like this expressive portrait and effective use of a limited tone range...and it's a handy way to drop out almost any background too.

I like the expression on her face and the composition of the shot. But it's a tad bit dark for my taste. Maybe a little bit of soft light from below going onto her face.

It might be my monitor but the background looks too dark....

If you could increase the contrast while maintaining the density of the black bg, you'd have a winner here.

Cute little girl, but I'm not crazy about the lighting and it looks a little blurry.

Very sweet, but too dark.

Another kid pic, not very original and too dark.

Good mood portrayal. You might try some additional, well positioned lighting could acentuate her face without loosing the mood.

little dark nice shot
06/03/2002 05:16:00 PM
Nice dark effect... what mood were you trying for?
06/03/2002 03:53:00 PM
Nice work, well done.
06/03/2002 03:09:00 PM
A bit too dark, but a nice photo anyway
06/03/2002 02:51:00 PM
Good shot, but a little too dark.
06/03/2002 01:55:00 PM
I'm trying to decide if I like her this dark. I feel that even in a place as dimly lit as you are trying to portray the minds eye would lighten the highlights to a plesent level.
06/03/2002 01:05:00 PM
Did you mean for it to seem out of focus? If so, I don't know that it helps any.
06/03/2002 10:59:00 AM
Contrast is too low
06/03/2002 10:14:00 AM
too dark needs a tad more light
06/03/2002 06:21:00 AM
This is a good photo but it's a little dark and the centering is a little off as well... The centering works best either centered or on a third line... I'm not sure if the darkness is intentional or not...

Too dark. Needs more focus.
