your photograph came up in a thread where we put in random image numbers, so, today is your lucky day! :)

I remember this image. I really like how they are looking in opposite directions from each other. Tells your point nicely.

:)

I thought it was "Yin Yang" but ok

Idea is good; needs more contrast and sharper focus; also move right to use bricks as background to eliminate sticks(?) and trees behind dog on right.

Funny interpretation of yin & yang. Wish the focus was a little better and the background a little less distracting.

Great job with tough models :) I'd like this picture more if it were sharper and maybe if the dogs stood apart from the background better. A shallower depth of field or maybe just a levels adjustment could accomplish this.

Nice idea, but feels too much like a snapshot.

Nice set-up. Either you are extremely lucky, or those are two obedient dogs! The brightness in the upper left is a bit too much, I think.

Please take the pole out of Yang's head.
06/04/2002 03:34:00 PM
I like the way their head are looking different directions. I think though if the poles and sign were out of the way I'd like it more.
06/04/2002 06:51:00 AM
Need more focus. If its an attempt at "soft focus" I don' t like it.
06/04/2002 02:55:00 AM
If only one dog knew how to do a headstand! Funny idea!

Hard to tell, but I think the lighting might have been flat on the day you were shooting. The image has been given adequate contrast overall, but the whites have mostly been soaked up by the wall in the bg, leaving the dogs looking a bit flat. Possibly some camera shake or a focus issue, as well. Most of the time, B/W needs to be tack sharp.

How did you get them to pose like that ?
06/03/2002 11:42:00 PM
Interesting photo... I believe the focus on this one is a bit too soft for my taste.. I like to see detail on animals...
06/03/2002 10:19:00 PM
nice pose it needs alittle more clarity on the tan dog's face

Love your title. Fun shot. Creative pair.
06/03/2002 03:30:00 PM
I would have liked a little crisper focus. I like the composition.

If I must see a snapshot of the family pet could it please be in focus. An old teacher once told me to avoid kids and pets because they are very special to you but to your viewers they are just another dog. This is a great photo for your family album. Sorry i am not trying to be the pri... I'm sure you think I am.

The image seems real hazy, though a definitely nice catch. Auto-Levels can fix your haze right up.

Funny, especially with the title, but unfortunately, looks too much like a snapshot: not quite sharp, horizon not level, pole coming out of dogs head.
06/03/2002 09:55:00 AM
Nice shot but it is out of focus quite a bit dont you think?
06/03/2002 07:52:00 AM
blurry but nice idea

Little blury, great shot though.
