 this is my family ..
the lady drinking champagne is my niece Ann-Marie .. she was home visiting from america where she lives with her husband in Baton Rouge .. she was here for three weeks ..
it was a couple of days before she went home .. and she was feeling quite emotional and sad because she misses her family and country so much ..

my nephew David who is Ann-Marie's brother is the father of the children ..
they are my grand nieces and my grand nephew .. the twins and emmie have featured in my photos here in dpc before ..

we were at david's place having a last dinner before ann-marie went home to baton rouge ..

the kids couldnt have a dog at this time but desperately wanted animals .. especially Emmie who is reaching over to pat Georgia's guinea pig .. Emmie loves all creatures great and small .. even bugs .. a girl after my own heart ..

anyway .. guinea pigs were the best pet option ..

i've learnt quite a bit about guinea pigs since they got them .. they make very cute noises btw ..

ps .. this challenge had been announced and i asked them to sit there and show their legs .. i got them to all hold the guinea pigs and just have fun with each other .. took a heap of photos but this one i liked the best ..

Ohmygosh! This is fabulous!!! What personality this has! It makes me smile just looking at it! So what’s the story?? Who are those delightful people and how do they all come to have guinea pigs? Congratulations on your ribbon!

I love this, Roz. How gorgeous. My son used to have guinea pigs yonks ago. That brings back some memories.

SUPER cute!! Love this portrait . . I don’t know that the subject is legs - I think the whole person and the guineas more than legs …. But it is DARLING!! I had to come back to add . . . I seriously love this! If this were my family, it’d be printed bigly on my wall!
