Yes. I know it’s a pelican again, but that’s all I photographed last month!! And they have sooo much personality, that I could have had 6 more shots that were very different.

Dropped from 7.333 to 6.83 in about 4 or 5 votes, but it’s the last day and a repeat subject.

But I loved this one. there’s so much to see in the details. did you notice the shape of his eye echoes the curl of feathers at the back of his head? Did you notice the sharp point on the end of the beak? This tight of crop let’s you really get to know him, :)

this is AMAZING .. your bird photos are just incredible ..
i'm loving everything about this .. especially your crop and the details ..
hard to believe this was a flying bird ..
cant imagine the talent it would take to get a shot like this ..
the voters were a bit divided over this image .. not sure why as its up there .. :)

You were robbed, this image is a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a seasoned wildlife photographer. Your images are outstanding, I knew it was yours
the moment I saw it. Just erase the votes under 7 in your mind, they are jealous. This image is a standout image in every way, free study is about outstanding work this image exemplifies perfection. Wow it blows me away, it's so good!

Cannot imagine taking a shot like this AND having the impertinence to find a few flawes
The perfect sharpeners everywhere is formidable to study the pelican to present it in animal and bird books (almost hyper realistic) but as a simple beauty photo some aspects shall take second role. Love the diagonal composition
