Taken kind of candidly. The photographer was setting up her stuff and I just took a few of this lovely young couple who just got married.

Since it won the competition, and not undeservedly, I can't say much negative. Every thing positive has already been said. Sorry I can't offer much more in the way of an in depth critique!

I like it. Especially the contrast between the bride and groom, and the way the lines of their clothing lead one's eyes around the image.

Jeremy, great image. Really deserving of the blue ribbon. Great job and congrats... Dave

I think this is one of those intimate moments a photographer should be shooting instead of the formal stiff portraits. This shows great emotion. It makes a very big impact on the viewer. I get the idea that the guy is about to kiss her on the head.

The background is wonderful for this btw. In real life (outside dpc I would edit the ugly chunck of ice away.

And compliments for that wedding dress.

wow, this is awesome feeling. This was a fun challenge to shoot. I went to the Salt Lake Temple because I figured a wedding would be a good "Love" theme. Being Valentines day, there are probably 100 weddings there a day, so I figured I'd get some good ones. It was a fun day to be shooting.

Hey, I wonder exactly where THAT was taken. ;-) Nice shot and congrats.

Wow! That is a really nice shot. Congrats. A closer shot of the couple's upper bodies and heads (leaving the gown to flow through the bottom of the frame) would look really nice too. Plus that could eliminate the snow chunk. The exposure is excellent too.

Very professional looking shot...i don't care much for the background, especially the big chunk of snow on the bottom left, but still a nice photograph...good luck :)

Wonderful shot. Great exposure, lighting, capture of the moment. Any couple would be happy to have this one, I think. Only one minor nit-pick, if the bouquet had been higher to hide both faces (like for privacy) or lower to show both faces, this shot would have been perfect. Still a 10, in my opinion.

What a perfect entry for love ... wonderful dress, wonderful pose ... but she's got the flowers in front of her head and they are not looking at each other! Those two things probably would've made this the winning image for me, but they do hurt the photo some by not being there, sorry. I hope you took more photos that day. :)

I love the way they pop from the background -- great use of focus. Too bad about that pile of snow (?) on the right -- otherwise a very lovely image.

How happy she is! And she sees you taking their photo, and is amused and flattered, but a bit embarrassed to.. she is hiding behind her roses. He is talking to her, but is a bit detached from the moment she is experiencing.. She is still caught up in the "we're married.... *eeee*", and he is .. "okay. we need to move on. time to get on with the next thing."

perfect exposure to catch her white dress and all the details.
too bad about the snow.. but it couldn't be helped.

The man looks a bit like he's looking off somewhere else. Otherwise, really nice shot of a very nice-looking couple.

A very beautiful photo with one big bad flaw - the flowers in front of her face. Otherwise it would be a 10.

Perfect...Excellent capture. Weddings really bring out the 'love' feel and you have cerainly captured it very well. Crisp, clean, fresh and of course has that love feel to it. Well done and gl 10 :)

Fantastic, one of my two favorites of the week. A couple of things could be better, like the two women at the lower bottom and the white object in the lower left. The white of her dress is super. I'm sure you may get some grief over the flowers in her face but I like that as well. Good luck super shot!

Gourgeous. Perfectly composed and lit. Background is excellent. Two small things bother me: the flowers should be lower to show her face, and that greyish blob behind her dress on the bottom left corner should have been removed. (is it city snow?) Aside from that, it is excellent. My pic for the winner. 10

beatiful dept of field. Excellent capture so much more natural than a staged shot. I'll give you a 10. This week's winner in my eyes. Jacko. 10

! I would like a tighter crop on the left and the flowers not covering her face .. otherwise great!

The bouquet should be lower so as not to block the faces of the subjects. Other than that, this is very good. It represents, perfectly, the theme of love, and exposure, and composition are very good. Also the grey bg contrasts the couple well. Good luck!

Awesome framing and DOF, though I wish the flowers weren't directly in the way of her face.

Lucky you to have found a weeding on Feb 14! Unfortunately the bride has the flowers hiding her face ...but the shot is nice!

Lovely shot. I would have cropped out the rocks behind the dress, but oh well, I won't take any marks off because of that :) well done, nicely captured -annida

wish you'd caught this with the flowers a bit lower so it wasn't covering their face - background could have enhanced this more than it does too, with the snow and the passers -by
