 I had such great plans for making an awesome entry.

Then, the pandemic got in the way of me having compressed air.

So, we have this.



I can't wait to see everyone's toys!

UPDATE: Oh wait!

Hubby got me compressed air! Mighty Hunter in Pandemic!

So, now I've shot for five hours today, trying to get that splash in the right place... and getting them to "interact" as well as possible... and getting the DOF... and... and... and...

Ended up painting a background (as poorly as possible to not "try to fool the viewer that it was real in any manner)... and adding it in the last 30 minutes. I've fought a bad, natural background all day.

My inspiration is Mitchel Wu's toy photography. If you haven't seen it, you should look him up. (Google "Mitchel Wu toy photography")

All of his stuff is Advanced Editing legal. He only removes stuff; doesn't add stuff.



Amazing. He makes it look so easy. Dang it.

:D

Now I have to clean up an entire ROOM of toys that I brought down from the attic. *sigh*

It was fun, though!

Fantastic shot. I love the details. I also reviewed many of Mitchel Wu's images and YouTube videos in preparation for this challenge. It was a log of fun!

Looks like something Lydia would create. I marvelled when I first viewed it. Perfect for the challenge and something I would of love to had done myself! The technical side intrigues me. I'm really wondering how you achieved this in standard editing, from the running OOF mother whose hat fell off her head, to the father splashing in the water and the elevated child. So good!

Has to be the blue. A rare 10.
