 I'm so excited for this challenge. I haven't played with toys in a long time! But it was totally worth it for this one. After reading the challenge I began researching online for ideas. There is a lot of great stuff out there, but I didn't want to to a photoshoot with my daughter's barbies. I guess my dark side won out this time.

Unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on any decent 6" black series Star Wars characters. So I had to settle for the 3" version, but that meant that the elbows, hips, legs and ankles would not bend. Hopefully I'm not rated too low for the lack of available poses.

I set the scene up using potting soil, large rocks, moss, dead leaves and wood chips. I doused the background with lighter fluid to keep the flames burning, and then used a can of compressed air to simulate the explosion. I don't currently have a fog machine, but luckily on some of the shots the compressed air let out a cloud of smoke. It turned out just as I had hoped, except for the lack of articulation in the First Order Soldier.
