I am with you Roz. Very rarely do i give a 4 for something I just can't understand at all. I thought this was such a creative picture. as you said some very odd scoring, but then abstract usually does split viewers.

it really is very disappointing that ppl vote on assumptions ..
your title had no bearing on how much i liked this .. it was like a will-o-wisp passing thru my mind .. the impact for me was in the visual ..
but i was blown away by all the low votes on some amazing images in this challenge .. of course ppl do have different tastes .. but like i say .. disappointing .. i personally never give a score less than 5 ... i feel if someone is going to go to the trouble of entering a photo i'll give them points for that .. :)

Wow! I have not had 1's and two's and three's in a few years! Check out these scores and comments. What a diverse community! Were I to do it again, I would title it and the funny thing is
the title was an abstraction as this was taken at an art festival in Cefalu, Sicily several years ago. I thought people who voted 1's and two's
and three's to make a point were long gone.

Very cool! Normally I would dislike this effect and especially the garish colors, but it's perfect for this one. Recognizable as a street scene but certainly abstracted enough for me.

title hurts you here - the whole point of an abstract is that it is not recognizable as anything (see entire challenge description) - a terrific image IMO. GL
