done for the Gratitude in May Side challenge

being aware of what i'm grateful for brings to mind the opposite .. the things that are difficult ..
it can also be confronting and revealing .. especially here ..
i struggle with depression and anxiety and health problems .. to the extent that i turn away work and invitations to do stuff ..
i have to push myself to get out the door ..
today i pushed myself and took katee to the leash free beach about 45 mins drive from home ..
what i'm grateful for is that i actually did it ..
that i have such a great little friend to play with and take photos of ..
that the drive was awesome ..
and that i had a really good time ...

for Jo digifotojo ..
I just took photos of her running towards me .. click click click .. eight times .. and brought them .. one at a time .. on top of each other .. into Photoshop .. and masked off the areas i didn't want ..

update .. katee passed away on the 4th June 2019 .. less than three weeks after i took these photos .. she had a heart murmur .. and had survived cancer .. she was a real little fighter and lived nearly 17 years .. greatly missed is an understatement

This is brilliant, Roz. What a great way to cherish her forever. It's amazing what a zest for life she had so close to the end of it.

Just saw this Roz. This is an incredible shot, with a wonderful story. I know you still miss Katee. I'm glad you have this fantastic memory to keep of this well-cared for and tremendously happy dog that you had the fortune of sharing your life with for 17 years. <3

We all struggle with those things, it's just part of getting older. But, learning how to deal with anxiety and depression is a big part of the solution and I think you're doing just fine. I'm not going to ask you how you did this but it looks like multiple exposures combined..? Anyway, I might have to try that if I can figure out how it's done. I do have Photomatix so maybe I'll experiment. In the meantime, keep doing stuff, it's the best way to combat those feelings. (((hugs)))

This is glorious, just glorious. The shadows are as telling as that which casts them. Whatever the challenge I would give it a 10 and rue the constraint. And further still, I would give a 10 to how you're facing your own challenges with determination and heart. Art and pain can be trying friends, always testing each other, pushing each other. Personally, I feel you do your utmost to make things right by your lights, but when it comes down to it you play the hand you're dealt with courage and, again, heart. So, I'm grateful for your gratitude and the inspiration you offer.
