 At 12,000 feet in Colorado, it truly is the last days of summer. All the ground plants are turning brilliant colors and getting ready for the long winter. The marmots and chipmunks and ground squirrels are all packing in as much foliage as they can. Almost each afternoon, a sudden storm comes through with rain, sleet, gropple, and sometimes snow. They don't last long, but it's the sign that warm days are almost gone.

Breathtaking photo, Dennis! I love how the warmth of the foreground eventually gives way to the creeping in of the cool mountains. You did the team proud, congrats on the Blue!! Go Hit Squad!

I'm going to hazard this could be on Skye. A delightful scene - I'm not usually overly keen on this type of HDR style toning, but here it works really well. My only negative point is that the placement of the orange flowers is very slightly off, perhaps too close to the centre line, for my eye.
