Bravo Ursula!
This was one of my top five favorites in this challenge. I was sure this would have pulled a top 3 placing.
Congrats on a top ten finish!

Great effect captured in the water, though the subject's a little too ambiguous for my taste. Something sharp, like a leaf or a duck would polish it off for me. Still, this should easily place in the top ten. 8

This is excellent. Really looks painted, and there's so many colours in there. Top stuff.

Your artistic creation fits the challenge theme very well, in my unqualified opinion. I think this is definitely one of the stronger entries and should do qute well.

I like this, except for composition. The symmetrical division by the middle pine is not very appealing. Edit: also i would flip this horizontally, to make the brighter yellow on the left. Would be slightly more natural.

The only thing missing is the flowers.

Hmmmm this challenge is like a game to find out how you all did this. Looks like a reflection and 180 rotation. Excellent tecnique whatever it was, but the Pines looked more on the trunk side than the pine side. Still like the far majority of this challenge, you got some high scores on this one.

I can certainly see this as a 20x30 - hanging on a lobby wall of a major big-city office building. Well done - and very appropriate for the impressionistic challenge.

Looks like a sheet of aluminimum. Good clear colors and an uncomplicated composition. A superb tenchnical study and nice to look at.

One of my top 3 entries. I really love the texture in this and the vibrancy of the yellow and the depth of the green is wonderful. I like the way the green leaf-laden branches form large shapes that balance out the strong vertical lines of the trunks and those white lines too. Shame the area at the lower left doesn't continue that vibrancy - it knocks the whole a little of balance for me. But still in my top 3.

So far this is my pick of the bunch ! This fits the challenge with it's wonderful lighting, colors/tones, leading lines and that dreamy yet not blurry effect. 10

returning for comments:
This certainly has that impressionistic feel. My preference would be less sharpness, but in general, you have pulled it off in an effective manner. Bumping up.

A very interesting abstract. I really like the reflective colors and lines.

the colors, lighting, and general composition are inviting, but the uniform application of the texture really takes away from my viewing experience. if i'm wrong, i'll gladly retract and eat my words, but as is, this feels a bit over-processed.

Very nice final result no matter how it was achieved. With no real topic It doesn't really keep my attention, but not all pictures have to be photojournalistic either.

Nice abstract, great textures and colours. Not quite enough compositional interest for my taste, but there's a lot to like. 8

I love the abstract nature of this one. It's so calming! I love the way you made this look like a soft reflection on water. 7

Simply beautiful. This is a splendid example of impressionism and to my eye the best in challenge. I only hope the rest of those that judge can see this and select this image as the winner.
