This is real art. It has dramatic nuance and visual punch. The equivocal postures of the figures- somewhere between desperation and elation - and shapes - alternating between cutout and solid - perform their drama against the theatrical, noirish shadows. I love the vicious competition between the natural human shapes and hard unnatural straight lines and angles. Quite a masterful result.

This is too wonderful for words!! I have voted according to whether I would put these images on my wall and this is my favourite by far. My only nitpick is that you cut off his hand, but there could be a reason ;)

Hope you have kept your original and that it gets the blue, my top pick Jan!! I'll congratulate you before hand.

I like the contrast between the somewhat somber colors and the joie de vivre of the figures. The background tilt adds to the jauntiness and the third, smaller figure before her own urban background adds additional interest and dimension. This is done by a steady, confident and highly competent hand, masterfully put together.
