 First one out from Bluebird batch #2. Dubbed him Einstein because of the tufts of hair. he hopped around on the deck rail and grill cover getting used to its feet and wings. We sit there for an entire day waiting and watching the 5 of them go, but it's worth it.

After Voting

I'm starting to wonder what do I need to do to Blue in a FS?! LOL It hurts less when you know the other images were all more than deserving winners.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I'm glad you liked little Einstein.

And for the record, I love my D500 and its 10 frames per second. This was my other choice for FS taken 1 frame before. Timing is everything.

Einstein looks a real cool dude. Superb photo! Great composition and expression. Congrats on the ribbon. Shame about that whale holding you from the top of the stack. You will get that blue soon for sure!
