In Wendys  vawendy Blurry Mess II post challenge notes she mentioned that, after shooting for the challenge in the freezing cold for 1½ hours, she discovered she’d forgotten to shoot jpg and, before finally giving up, instead ended up entering a (beautiful) shot she did of two scarves draped over her shower door.
Well, I’d “swished” my camera for days over everything I laid my eyes on (indoors, outdoors when still light and even in darkness) and couldn’t get anything even remotely like what I was looking and hoping for.
Just as I was getting to the stage where frustration was causing smoke to come out of my ears, I remembered Wendys story about the scarves. I didn’t want to copy her idea but, like her, I really hate giving up, so I threw some cushions and a white fruit bowl onto the sofa and a book with a green cover on the coffee table in front of the sofa and whaddya think, yep, five minutes of “swishing” later I had my challenge entry.
Sooo, thanks to Wendy for the inspiration. Thanks also for the comments and score.
Now I think about it, I could have photographed the abstract motion blur smoke that was coming out of my ears… |

| Not sure how you got the feather effect, but the colors and curves are great. Well done and good lesson -- never give up. |
