 so much more I wanted to do with this..ran out of time!

Been a awhile since I entered

THx everyone for the comments. Nice to finish where it did...but I think I mentioned in the score thread that I know there were flaws with this.
Deadline day
Start shooting at noon
Wrap up around 330
Race home talk my son to soccer training til 830
Race home bedtime routine til 10pm
Sift thru all shots to pick one and edit 1145..enter this whilst stil working on it.

She is not a a mannequin..she is real.Skin is purposely taken to the edge. Yes her hand is one area where I ran out of time with.
here is another version with the desired effect of smoke. Couldnt get her to execute with all factors in one shot, Her mouth is conposited into this shot and red filter added to background..

Nice shooting leo pity ya time ran out ..with your skin processing on the model was part of it Gaussian blur at a high % opacity how did you get the color blend ..Gord ..sorry to many questions

Love the pose and the burst of red. The only thing that wigs me out is her hand and the smoothness of her skin. Makes me question whether I am seeing too much editing or if I am looking at a mannequin.

I can't decide if I like this or not. The lighting is good but she looks like a manikin and I'm thinking you did this on purpose but the effect is done more strongly on the hand than the face, I think I would like it better if it was more uniform.

Well, well. You're not messing around with this one, are you. Going for the homerun...and I think you have it. Absolutely impeccable lighting and composition. Not a fan of the plastic skin -- but I recognize that is in vogue. Fully expect this to be Top 3 at the close of voting. Quite striking! First 9 of the challenge from me.

EDIT: while I think the skin is too unnaturally processed (note the hand which looks like it belongs to a mannequin), this image is head and shoulder above the rest. Such a bold image that punches harder than the others. Top vote from me.

Very alternative, and stands apart from many other shots. Good lighting and focus, I gave it a 9. For me the skin is smoothed almost to the high end CG look & feel over a photo, particularly the smoking hand which has a duller hue than the face and open chest areas.

Stellar lighting and styling. But I'm not crazy about the overly smoothed skin (especially on her hand), and the bank of lights behind her. Seems more distracting than anything.

Perfect fashion shoot, although she is almost too perfect for me. The hand looks painted. Her skin is too flawless, but still an 8 for me...
